Logistics Technician

The Logistics Technician will contribute to USTC’s success by supporting the operations in a wide variety of warehouse activities in one of the following functional group areas: receiving, shipping, distribution, inventory, production, maintenance and reporting. This position will work directly with the Supervisor, the Lead, and other team members to ensure productivity levels are on target. This role will also focus on achieving USTC’s Mission and Goals, and will support the implementation of company programs, procedures and practices to promote USTC key messages, acting in the best interest of the company at all times. Core Responsibilities:

  • Completes logistics processes, including physical tasks with respect to assigned area, e.g., receiving, shipping, warehousing and distribution – including, but not limited to the loading, unloading, cleaning, testing, storing and/or other processing of materials and consumer devices
  • Keeps safety and security top of mind; adheres to USTC policies and procedures as well as OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws
  • Where applicable, ensures that all work areas and related equipment and vehicles are utilized and maintained in a safe, clean and responsible manner

Requirements/Key Experiences:

  • Ability to regularly maneuver up to 60+ lbs with equipment., stand, bend, walk, lift and reach
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate all equipment in a safe, responsible manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of inventory control software programs (Oracle E-Business, Sage)
  • Forklift certification (must be obtained along with OSHA certification for equipment operation)

We're hiring a full-time Solutions Engineer out of our Edison, NJ corporate headquarters to contribute to USTC’s success as a technical subject-matter-expert for all telecommunications services, network equipment and supply chain solutions. With expert knowledge of all competitive telecommunications products, services, and contemporary concepts being developed for market, the Solutions Engineer will ensure customer’s sales contracts deliver product alignment, technical feasibility, and strategic business benefits.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of strategic sales planning by applying advanced and unique knowledge of telecommunications industry technologies and network products. Define and ensure the quality of the customer’s technical specifications and requirements are to standards.
  • Generate new ideas for service and product design opportunities. Participate in development of new products ensuring the technical quality and manufacturing processes meet customers’ requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the competitions’ activities and products, anticipate opportunities the competition may exploit and work to close the gap.
  • Provide technical recommendations to strategically build profitable new markets, increasing sales revenue, customer footprint, and segment footprint.
  • Assist customers to select appropriate technical products from the company’s existing product offerings and recommend new products for development to meet customer needs.
  • Build customer relationships at all organizational levels to support, renew and further penetrate existing markets.
  • Proactively engage various teams to ensure appropriate levels of direct customer support.
  • Review market analyses to anticipate customer needs and to determine price schedules/discount rates. Participate in the development of marketing strategies for new products and services.
  • Represent USTC at industry events to promote products and services, network with relevant stakeholders, and stay current with market trends.
  • Analyze and control expenses to conform to accounting requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain accuracy of online systems designed to report status and progress.
  • Adhere to all FCC regulation testing and ensure engineering requirements are met.
  • Work closely with Sales/Marketing/Procurement as a technical resource.

Requirements/Key Experiences:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, systems engineering or solutions engineering in the CATV industry
  • Knowledge of all technical aspects of CATV construction and engineering theory, policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding HFC networks and field technical operations
  • Proven track record in sales development of new product lines
  • Project management, decision-making and creative problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of sales-related software
  • Business Savvy, Action and Results-Oriented, Adaptable, Strategic Thinker
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations
  • Ability to write responses to customer RFP/RFQs and provide pricing quotations to customers

As a Class B Commercial Truck Driver you will work in our National Transportation Group within our Edison, NJ location supporting a world-class logistics organization. You will load, unload, and deliver supplies/materials to customers safely navigating vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 33,000 pounds and occasionally a Tractor Trailer of 80,000 pounds. In this position, you will: efficiently and safely securely transport, sort transport, load/unload, and stock inventory materials and work closely with our Customers at all points of the delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive vehicles nationally with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 33,000 pounds and occasionally a Tractor Trailer of 80,000 pounds

  • Ensure contents are properly and safely secured in a truck to prevent damage/injury
  • Interacting service with the customer in a professional manner throughout all points of delivery

  • Assist in mapping driving routes
  • Stay on a predetermined truck route and ensure timely transport and delivery
  • Obtain signatures to confirm and complete proof of deliveries
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official

Requirements/Key Experiences

  • 5+ years of proven experience in professional commercial truck driving
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Able to successfully pass a background and drug test
  • Proficient using GPS and other map planning/routing systems
